GP Training Placements

There are numerous excellent training practices in the county and we are now offering innovative Primary Care-based Women's Health Posts, designed to meet the needs of the modern GP.

All new doctors are allocated a Mentoring Practice which they are expected to attend six times a year whilst in hospital posts. This will ultimately become their Training Practice, thus providing excellent links between the hospital SHO and the GP Trainer over an extended period of time and allowing for greater development of understanding of the issues surrounding General Practice.
